SMME Competition 2011

SMME Competition Format:

• The SMME competition involves a year-long program of training and mentorship at the end of which the SMME winner will be chosen.
• All entrants into the competition agrees to participate in the training and evaluation procedures.
• Training will be outsourced to partners and stakeholders involved in the various aspects of SMME development.
• The screening of competition entrants takes place every 3 months after commencement of the training module. At this stage non-performers will be disqualified from moving on to the next set of training sessions. The final three months will be an opportunity for the remaining competitors to show who amongst themselves have used the learning’s to most improve their businesses on levels of growth, capacity, service excellence etc.
• The best three SMMEs will then be recognized at a gala function hosted by the Emerald Resort and Casino.
