SMME Competition 2011

SMME Competition Rules:

Winners of previous years of the SMME competition are not eligible to enter the competition.

• Entry is open to anyone owning registered small, medium and micro enterprises operating within the Vaal region of South Africa, except employees (and their immediate families) of the Community Chest, Emerald Foundation, the sponsoring company/companies and/or agents involved in the competition.
• To be eligible for the competition, participants or entrants must reside in the Vaal Region of South Africa.
• The competition runs until the end date stipulated on the promotional material. Late entries may be included at the discretion of the judges.
• The Community Chest has appointed the Centre for Applied Management Science (CAMS) to assist with the competition evaluation processes.
• By entering the competition you agree to allow the Centre for Applied Management Science (CAMS) to undertake the necessary verification exercises. All information will be held confidential by the Centre for Applied Management Science (CAMS).
• The judges' decision is final and no correspondence, discussion or negotiations will be entered into.
• The Community Chest, Emerald Foundation, the sponsoring company/companies and/or agents involved in the competition reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the competition.
• In the event that the competition is cancelled or suspended, all participants or entrants agree to waive any rights they may have in terms of the completion and acknowledge that they have no recourse again the Community Chest, Emerald Foundation, the sponsoring company/companies and/or agents involved in the competition.
• The participants or entrants participating in the competition, authorize the competition organizers to publish or distribute any or all the details of the participant or to take pictures of the participant or to use the participants details or photographs in any advertising or promotional material without any liability to the conference organizers, sponsors ,the Community Chest, Emerald Foundation, the sponsoring company/companies and/or agents involved in the competition and conference and or remuneration due to the participant or entrant.
• By entering the competition you agree to release and hold the Community Chest, Emerald Foundation, the sponsoring company/companies and/or agents involved in the competition harmless from any and all losses, harm, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the competition or resulting from participation in the competition or acceptance, possession, use or receiving of any prize including, without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
• Any violation or attempt to violate the above terms and conditions will result in immediate disqualification of the participant or entrant from the competition.
• All prizes awarded cannot be sold or redeemed for cash, and no discussion will be entered into.
• By entering into a competition it is deemed that you have read and understood these rules.
